Netflix, CD Projekt Red, and Studio Trigger have unveiled an electrifying new teaser for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, giving fans their most detailed look yet at how high-level netrunning and cyberpsychosis will be visually interpreted in the upcoming anime sequel.
The latest footage places veteran mercenary Weak Kingsley directly at the epicenter of Night City’s brutal criminal underworld. Unlike the first season’s intense focus on raw Sandevistan speed, the new teaser leans heavily into the franchise’s deep digital warfare. Viewers are treated to Studio Trigger’s vivid, kinetic representation of netrunning mechanics familiar to Cyberpunk 2077 players—complete with lethal combat daemons, digital intrusions, and high-stakes breaches that quickly escalate into chaos as cyberpsychosis overtakes combatants.
Weak Kingsley leads a fresh ensemble cast that also introduces key characters D, Roman Carax, and Talia Yang. The narrative is structured as a standalone 10-episode arc exploring grief, revenge, and the steep personal toll of chrome enhancement in the world’s most unforgiving megalopolis.
Behind the scenes, key creative veterans from the award-winning 2022 debut season return to steer the ship. Kai Ikarashi directs the project, with Kanno Ichigo serving as lead character designer. Original story architects Bartosz Sztybor and Masahiko Otsuka have once again penned the scripts, ensuring the sequel preserves the emotional punch and visual style that made the original run an international hit.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is scheduled to premiere exclusively worldwide on Netflix on October 20, 2026.
